Despite my chronic pain and injuries from years of dance, as well as some mild scoliosis, I’ve never experienced much back pain, particularly something like sciatica, where something is irritating a nerve and sending shooting pain throughout your legs or rear end. I suspect treating such pain is far more complicated than what I’ve been through, and I’m lucky to have not experienced it.

What you should know about sciatica

Back pain can be caused by a plethora of things like poor posture, weak back muscles, not moving enough during the work day, or even straining to lift heavy items like a baby improperly.
